A mini meditation for when you're anywhere but here

How are you feeling right now? A little disconnected maybe? Scattered? A bit emotional? Worried about something? Trying to keep a handle on everything you still have to do this week? Everyone wanting a piece of you?! Tired? 

I feel you. 

This time of the week, at the end of a long day, it's easy to be anywhere but here. 

Here is a mini written meditation just for you to come back home to yourself. It's such a simple process - you literally only need 2 minutes of your time and attention to complete it.

Giving yourself some time is a little dose of self-care, because you matter too, and let's face it, when you're home within yourself, everything and everyone is so much better.

Mini Meditation to Reconnect 

Wherever you are doing this process, allow the words in each line to lead you back into your body. Let yourself slow ... right ... down. It's only a short process, so please, enjoy.

Take a long deep breath down into your torso ....

Breathe out slowly, letting go.

Take another slow deep breath into your belly...

Breathe out slowly, expanding your awareness to your whole body, from your crown to your feet ...

Take another slow deep breath all the way down to your feet...

Breathe out slowly, noticing any sensations inside your body... 

Take another deep breath in...becoming curious about what's going on inside of you...

Breathe out and drop in a little deeper...

Let yourself slow ... right ... down...

Notice any tingling, warmth or sensation inside your feet and your hands...

Notice your tongue in your mouth ...let it relax...

Notice the rise and fall of your chest ...

Softening.... relaxing...

Notice the left and then the right side of your body...

Take one more deep breath in ... hold it.... 

and let it all go....

totally relaxing and reconnecting to you ...

Aware of your whole body...

Appreciating what you have right here, right now...

Present... sensing... open...

Welcome home.💚
